1940’s looking 40′ Classic Monk style boat.

This boat was a total restoration shop project and is owned by Commodore’s Boats Ltd. This boat was brought into our shop several years back and has served as a project boat for the shipwrights that are employed at Commodore’s Boats. As it sits today in our shop it is near completion. This classic beauty is just waiting for that right owner to make the final custom work decisions so that she can take on the personality of the new owner. That includes naming her and directing our team as to the final finishing touches.

If you wanted to completely restore a classic wooden boat this project would serve as the standard to follow in a complete restoration whereby the shipwrights exceeded all standards and used only the highest of quality wood, supplies and craftsmanship.

This boat would be now considered a Commodore’s style boat with a classic monk appearance. Built on a 1940’s monk hull this boat has been completely designed and built with a vintage appearance with all new parts.

original monk hull, Commodore style cabin and decks, brand new 150hp Isuzu diesel engine, new gear, new tanks and driveline. Boat has been reframed, replanked and has a new deck and cabin.

The interior of the boat has been designed with custom cabinets, new upholstery and appliances. Every part of this boat is virtually new.

Commodore’s Boats estimates after all work is complete we will have invested well over $300,000 into this project in labour and parts and materials.
